Facilities

The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters Visitor Center is a accessible site. Bathrooms and most displays are accessible to those who are mobility impaired. The interpretive film is also accessible, has open captions and audio description. Assisted listening devices are available upon request.

Exhibits and Publications

Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail headquarters in Omaha is working to expand its accessbile exhibits and publications. At this time we offer:
  • Braille printed booklets of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail "Unigrid" brochure.
  • Tactile maps of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, which are available in the Omaha visitor Center and also at locations hosting the Lewis and Clark Trail Junior Ranger program.
  • Tactile exhibit booklet featuring animals of the Lewis and Clark Trail.

Locations along the Lewis and Clark Trail


There are many visitor centers and sites along the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. For information on accessibility, visitors will need to contact each site directly.

Please note, most locations along the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail are not federally managed sites. Federal Annual Passes, Access Passes, Senior Passes and any other federal passes only work at federally managed sites and do not apply at non-federal State Parks, County Parks, museums and interpretive centers.
