Collingwood Picnic Area

Collingwood Picnic Area is a place to relax and enjoy beautiful views of the Potomac River. The park is open daily from 6:00 AM until dusk.

Things to Do

Collingwood Picnic Area is a great place to enjoy a meal, either in solitude or the company of others. Fifteen parking spaces, five picnic tables and two trash cans are available on site. There are no restrooms. Fishing is legal at Collingwood Picnic Area with a valid Virginia or Maryland license. Learn about fishing at George Washington Memorial Parkway.

Directions

Collingwood Picnic Area is accessed via the George Washington Memorial Parkway. When driving north on the George Washington Memorial Parkway, look for a sign for Collingwood Picnic Area on the right one mile after passing Fort Hunt Park. When driving south on the George Washington Memorial Parkway, look for a sign for Collingwood Picnic Area on the left three miles after passing Dyke Marsh.
