NPS/ Lisa Girardin Looking for extensions for historical or ecological concepts? Looking for fun games and craft ideas? Look no further. Acadia offers a variety of multimedia to explore the park and concepts for students. The goal of each of these materials is to provide enriching opportunities to build on student learning and get kids outside. To begin exploring, we have divided our materials into two groups: Lesson Plans- Each lesson plan has been written by a teacher in the "5E" format. Lessons provide background information for teachers as well as standards and full multi-step lesson plans. Activities and Crafts- these materials can be used without the context of a lesson, many of the activities are grab and go and can compliment a variety of lessons. The activities and materials are shorter and contain only the steps for the specific activity. The majority of these materials align to programs we offer at Acadia.
