The renovated visitor center with new exhibits is open to the public.

• The visitor center is open daily 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend, and 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
• Rangers are present to assist you.
• Restrooms with flush toilets and water are available in the visitor center building lobby during open hours.
• New exhibits include highlights of the region's historically diverse cultures, a large diorama depicting park and preserve ecosystems, a night sky video and night life of the dunes exhibit, a 3D model of the valley and geology animation, and a sand-wind interactive. A 20-minute park video is also available.
