• In 2025, the visitor center is open daily 9:00 am - 4:30 pm throughout the year, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
• Rangers are present to assist you with trip planning, Junior Ranger books and badges, directions, and other questions.
• Restrooms with flush toilets and a water fill station are available in the visitor center building lobby during open hours.
• Exhibits include highlights of the region's historically diverse cultures, a large diorama depicting park and preserve ecosystems, a night sky video and night life of the dunes exhibit, a 3D model of the valley and geology animation, and a sand-wind interactive. A 20-minute park video is also available.
