Our
mission here at the Patrick J. Mogan Cultural Center is to "tell
the human story of Lowell" through community-sponsored exhibits,
projects and programs. We are located at 40 French Street, in a
renovated brick building that was originally a corporation boardinghouse
block for young women working in the textile mills. We are historical,
we tell the story of past residents in this exceptional city. And
we are contemporary. We form a bridge between the city, its community
groups, the University of Massachusetts Lowell and Lowell National
Historical Park. We strive to play a positive role among groups
and also to advance cultural and historical activities within the
city.
