Can history be changed? This picture, from a pictorial history of the Wild West , is captioned: “Walter Scott. One of the best known cow-punchers with the ‘Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show’.” His head has been cut out and placed on another rider’s body. Scott did not become famous until after his time with the Wild West Show when he became known throughout the country as Death Valley Scotty.
