Sign up available at the Visitor Center beginning at 8 a.m. until full. Snowshoe hike is held at 1 p.m. and lasts for 60-90 minutes.


Description

Winters at Bryce offer views of a sparkling wonderland under a crystal blue sky, plenty of solitude, and most years, enough snow for snowshoeing! Accompany a park ranger for a snowshoe hike and we will supply the snowshoes! Learn about the winter ecology of our park and how hoodoos are the product of the winter struggle between ice and sun.

  • Sign-up begins at 8 a.m. at the Visitor Center and lasts until full (hike capped at 15 people).
  • Snowshoe hike is held at 1 p.m. and the location is shared at sign-up.
  • All attendees must have winter clothing, including waterproof footwear.
  • Snowshoes and poles are provided by the park.
  • All members of your group must be present at sign-up to have waterproof footwear approved.
  • Each party can have up to 6 people.
  • Children must be age 10 or older.
  • The hike lasts 60-90 minutes, covers about a mile, and is moderately strenuous.
