Solstice Hike to Old Inlet

Enjoy a 4-mile round-trip hike along the ocean’s edge to see what remains of the breach created by Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Dress for the weather and for walking on sand. There is a fee for parking in the Smith Point County Park parking lot.

Location

Wilderness Visitor Center: Take William Floyd Parkway (Route 46) to Smith Point County Park for access to the Wilderness Visitor Center, a small octagonal building on the right as you are headed south. Parking is available in the Smith Point parking lot just to the east/on the left.
