Road and Trail Closures

The following backcountry roads are closed:

  • South Fork Mountain Road (more information)  
  • Crystal Creek Road (closed above Crystal Creek Boys Camp - the Whiskeytown Falls section is open)
    upper Crystal Creek Road is closed for repairs 
  • Other Roads and Trails closed due to fire suppression damage and rehabilitation (more information)

The National Cemeteries Act was based on the principles articulated by President Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address--"that these dead shall not have died in vain." Passed by Congress in 1863, the law established thirteen cemeteries to inter veterans of the Armed Forces and their families.
