The 9th Biennial Scientific Conference on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, The ’88 Fires: Yellowstone and Beyond, will focus on the 20th anniversary of the 1988 fires in the Yellowstone area. It will be held September 22-27, 2008, at the Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Yellowstone is joining with the International Association of Wildland Fire and other organizations to host this conference, which will be both a first rate scientific meeting and a homecoming for the many people who were involved in the 1988 fires in Yellowstone.
