Notes: In the year of the Lord 1813 on the 10th day of February, Miguel of the Papago nation, who was baptized at Guevavi by the Jesuit Fathers and went back to the Papaguería shortly after his baptism because of the depopulation of the said village by the Apache enemies, where he lived until these days as a gentile, having become sick in this village of Santa Magdalena, he acknowledged his obligations, confessed, and received the Extreme Unction. He died, apparently repentant, with plenty of consulation from me and all of the village and two of his children who had been baptized in the said village. His body was buried in the cemetery of this village the next day. He was about eighty years of age. For this truth I sign on the said day, month and year as above. Father José Pérez.
