Arts as Inspiration

The natural lands of the United States have inspired artists for generations. Artists visiting immense Western landscapes to create art and share it with the American public inspired the creation of America's first national parks. Visitors to Arches National Park can experience the arts and their connection to the natural world in a variety of ways.

Community Artist in the Parks

The parks in the Southeast Utah Group (Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Hovenweep National Monument, and Natural Bridges National Monument) have hosted a Community Artist from local counties each year since 2009. The Community Artist produces works of art in these parks and helps visitors connect to these natural and cultural areas through the arts.
