Oak Ridge housewives, along with their sisters all over the country, still have one pressing concern: finding dishes that require no meat. What many fail to consider, says Marty Dunn, dietician now working as a Roane-Anderson Town Hostess, is that several attractive dishes can be made from the ordinary unglamorous hamburger and sausage.

Several Recipes are presented below. Two utilize easy-to-get meat. If you are still utilizing the time-honored macaroni as a weekly staple, here's an extra hint: two tablespoons of chopped olives and one of chopped peppers, added after the macaroni is boiled and drained, will pep up the results.

Tasting Notes:

Definitely better than expected! If I made it again, would chop the apple filing more and mix the cinnamon sugar into, rather than sprinkling on top. More of a dessert than an entree. - Ranger Ian

I loved it!! I could totally eat that... Davey and George (VIP) liked it too. - Ranger Daniel

It was suprisingly good. - Ranger Matt
