National Park Service in Manhattan

The greater Manhattan area contains nine national park sites under the Manhattan Sites (MASI) administrative umbrella. These parks, listed at the top of this page, are as diverse and wide-ranging as the city they reside in. From the memorialization of an African burial ground, to the celebration of the rights secured by the LGBTQ+ community, to the home of Alexander Hamilton and the final resting place of a great Civil War general and American president, the national park sites in Manhattan tell many stories about the unfolding of history, in one city.
