Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s family members were some of his biggest inspirations. He lived at 105 Brattle Street in Cambridge, MA – now Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site with his wife Fanny, sons Charley and Erny, and daughters Alice, Edith and Anne. They inspired his poetry, like “The Children’s Hour,” “The Castle Builder,” and “To a Child.”
