Big South Fork NRRA Celebrates National Park Week 2025 with Discounted Backcountry Camping Permits

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area will observe National Park Week 2025 from Saturday, April 19 through Sunday, April 27. This annual celebration highlights everything that makes national parks special—natural beauty, cultural heritage, and opportunities for exploration and discovery.

To help kick off the week, backcountry camping permits will be 50 percent off on Saturday, April 19. Whether you're a seasoned backpacker or new to camping, it’s a great time to enjoy the scenic backcountry of the Big South Fork.

Each day of National Park Week focuses on a unique theme, including Earth Day and Junior Ranger Day, encouraging visitors to connect with parks in new and meaningful ways.
