Montrose, Colo. – On April 13, 2025, US Park Rangers conducted an operation to recover the human remains that were located in a remote and highly technical area within the wilderness area at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The remains were recently confirmed to be those of Jordan Marsters. On February 15, family members reported to the Denver Police Department that Masters was missing. Marsters was linked to an abandoned vehicle at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, where search efforts began.

Multiple agencies assisted with the recovery operation. The National Park Service would like to thank their partners for their assistance and support. Without their help this search would not have been successful.
