Volunteers in Parks

Volunteers-In-Parks (VIPs) are are important members of park communities. Each year tens of thousands of volunteers donate millions hours working in national parks. When you volunteer at Boston Harbor Islands, you are part of this larger corps of volunteers working in our National Parks.

As a volunteer, you will gain a deeper connection to the extraordinary resources of the islands at the same time you are contributing to them in meaningful ways. Volunteers help to preserve and protect the islands' natural landscape through habitat restoration, citizen science projects, and Stewardship Saturdays. Volunteers also enhance visitor experiences at the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center and on the islands.

Please see www.volunteer.gov for more information and to apply for individual volunteering opportunities. For additional information and to inquire about group volunteering, please visit the Volunteer page on our partnership website.
