2021 marked a special anniversary year at the Boston Harbor Islands: one that celebrated 50 years since the Boston Harbor Islands entered the State Park system, and 25 years since the establishment of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park – its national significance signed into law as part of the National Parks and Public Lands Management Act of 1996. The Boston Harbor Islands rely on the power of partnership to create exceptional park spaces, preserve our most cherished resources, and inspire unforgettable experiences.
