The NPS App connects visitors to all 420+ national parks from one single app. When visiting Boston, you can access information for all three Boston National Park sites, including:

  • Up-to-date listing of things to do across the Freedom Trail.
  • Alerts and operating hours.
  • Tools to explore little-known histories of Boston, such as Underground Railroad sites, the Charlestown Navy Yard, Fort Warren, and the long march for women's rights.
  • Find the locations of over 15 National Park Passport stamps!
 

Get Started!

First, download the NPS app from the Apple App store or Google Play.

Once you download the NPS app, you can find Boston parks by location or by search. Once you find your park, tap "Explore Full Park" to begin your Boston adventure!

Once the app is installed, follow the tutorial. If you are already in Boston and turned on location access, Boston National Historical Park, Boston African American National Historic Site, and Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park will show up automatically. Otherwise simply tap "Find a Park" and search "Boston". Tap your preferred park unit and then begin to explore!
