Reopening Following Storm Closure 09 28 2024

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument will REOPEN to the public on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Staff spent Friday cleaning up storm debris and ensuring the fort is ready to welcome back visitors. The Castillo will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fort Matanzas National Monument will REOPEN with restrictions on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene, ferry operations to the historic fort will be cancelled until further notice. The Fort Matanzas Visitor Center and nature trails will be open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
