10th Battalion, Louisiana Infantry
- Overview:
- 10th Infantry Battalion [also called Yellow Jacket Battalion] was organized during the fall of 1862. The unit served in Mouton's Brigade, District of Western Louisiana, until the winter of 1863-1864. It then merged into the 18th Louisiana Infantry Regiment. Lieutenant Colonel Valsin A. Fournet and Major Desire Beraud were in command.
