PermitsBoat PermitsAll motorized watercraft vessels launched in Curecanti waters must have a boat launch permit sticker or digital proof of purchase of a boat launch permit until a sticker is obtained from an Aquatic Invasive Species Inspection Station. Seasonal and 7-day boat permits are available for purchase on Recreation.gov. Special Use PermitsA Special Use Permit is required for special events--activities such as weddings, memorial services, sporting events, entertainment, automobile/motorcycle club rallies, organized tours or rides, large group camps or rendezvous, or scattering of ashes, which fall under the category of privileges. Special events differ from public assemblies and public meetings in that the latter activities are rights protected by the First Amendment. A First Amendment activity may also require a Special Use Permit. Filming, Still Photography, and Audio RecordingIt is the policy of the National Park Service to allow filming and photography consistent with protection and public enjoyment of park resources. In most cases, permits and fees are not required for filming, still photography, or audio recording that involves eight or fewer individuals. Read specific requirements here.
