At the east abutment, the contractor is finishing up with construction of the soil nail wall this week and thermosyphon vertical pipes have been installed on the west side of the east abutment location. They have also begun the installation of the battered micropiles at the east abutment location. Abutment blocks are due to begin arriving at the MP5 Pit staging area next week.
