May 13, 2024 Update

May 13, 2024 Posted by: Katie Karnes

On the west cut this week, the contractor is drilling, blasting, and installing rock bolts. On the east abutment, they are drilling, installing, and proof testing soil nails in preparation for installation of the wire mesh facing. Rock bolts and soil nails are two different techniques used to stabilize slopes and provide reinforcement to the abutment areas.

Beginning today, oversize construction traffic on the Park Road will take place during nights. Regular construction traffic will continue during the day.
