LODGING There are no hard-sided lodging options in Devils Postpile National Monument. Within the Reds Meadow Valley and a short drive from the monument, rustic cabins, bunks, and other amenities are available at the Reds Meadow Resort and Packstation. Reds Meadow Resort operates as a permittee of the Inyo National Forest. No other lodging is available in the valley. There are, however, six campgrounds in the valley, including one at Devils Postpile. Many lodging options are available in the Town of Mammoth Lakes. WHERE TO EAT There are no restaurants or concession-operated facilities within the monument. The only eating establishment within Reds Meadow Valley can be found at Reds Meadow Resort at the Mule House Cafe. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served throughout the summer. Reservations are recommended for dinner. In addition to the cafe, there is also a small general store that sells an assortment of grocery items and camping supplies. For more information, please contact the Resort at (760) 934-2345 or visit their website at www.redsmeadow.com. The Town of Mammoth Lakes provides a wide range of eating establishments and is located approximately 30 minutes from Devils Postpile. It is advisable to pack a lunch or snacks with you before you enter the Reds Meadow Valley.
