Beginning on Sunday June 16th, the Furnace Creek Visitor Center in Death Valley National Park will be open from9 a.m. to 6 p.m., one hour later than the previous schedule. This change will better serve the summer travelers who arrive later in the day or begin their activities early and seek indoor venues in the afternoon. While summer brings extreme temperatures, this time of year also brings a high volume of European visitors. The new schedule will allow park staff to be available later in the day to assist visitors. The Visitor Center will return to winter hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on October 7th. |
