Tao House

Please be aware that pets are not allowed on the park shuttle bus, in the Tao House or theater performance spaces, unless they are Service Animals.

The 2010 revision to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a “service animal” as an animal that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.

Animals that are not trained to perform tasks that mitigate the effects of a disability, including animals that provide comfort or emotional support (e.g. therapy animals), are considered pets and not service animals.

Pets on the Park Grounds

Eugene O'Neill owned several dogs in his life. Here at Tao House, it was their beloved Dalmatian "Blemie" that kept the family company. All dogs here at Eugene O"Neill NHS, though loved, must remained on leash while in the park. This is for their safety, as well as for visitors and wildlife. Even when passing through the park on the way to or from Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, please keep your pet on a leash.
