“Everglades National Park… A place like no other!” On display at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center is a nature photography exhibit by Maxis Gámez, titled “Everglades National Park… A place like no other!” The exhibit can be viewed daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during the month of April. Maxis Gámez is, for the most part, a self-taught photographer. He started photography as a hobby, but has now decided to devote his time and energy full time to it. Through photography, he discovered a medium that enables him to express his creativity and use his abilities. Viewing the world in a different way, he is capable of capturing wonderful images. His award-winning images have been featured in local galleries, published in nature magazines like Audubon, Shutterbug, Outdoor Photography Magazine, Nature Photographers Magazine, and currently published in National Geographic. Maxis Gámez is now offering private lessons and field instruction workshops to anyone who is interested in learning the tips and techniques he has acquired over the years. -NPS- |
