What You Do
Botanists study all forms of plant life. Their work varies depending on the particular job, but could include identifying, classifying, recording and monitoring plant species. They might search for new species! Botanists can also study the effects of pollution or developments on plant life. Some botanists research trees or plants that are endangered due to insect damage, fungus, or climate change. Then, they find ways to help those plants recover.
