Black on white front elevation drawing of the Crystal Bathhouse. It shows a two-story structure with a central double doorway and two narrower windows on each side. The second story mirrors a wide central window and narrower windows on each side. Windows and door all have arched surrounds. The front roofline has a short railing typical of a 'widow's walk.' The name CRYSTAL is centered in the middle of the railing between two uprights and the uprights are repeated at each end of the building. There is also a front section side elevation showing the depth detail and profile of the facade.

The Crystal Bathhouse was the first to be built for the exclusive use of African Americans. Designed by architect John McCaslin (who also designed the Maurice Bathhouse and the Great Northern Hotel and Baths), it opened in 1904.
