The Paiutes settled in the area of the Colorado River, including Southern Nevada, California, Utah, and Northern Arizona, around A.D. 1100-1200. The Paiutes mainly subsisted on hunting and gathering, as well as some irrigation agriculture growing corn, squash, melons, and sunflowers. Their game typically consisted of rabbits, deer, and desert bighorn sheep.
