The Creel is one of three cabins still standing at Rapidan. During Hoover's time it served as quarters for Lawrence Richy, the President's secretary and advisor and by Dr. Joel Boone, the President's person physician.

Today, The Creel houses volunteers during the summer and fall who take care of the camp, and greet visitors.
