Fort to Celebrate the Life and Legacy of March Haynes with Free Special Event

SAVANNAH, GA – Join us on Saturday, March 4th as we celebrate the life and legacy of March Haynes, a 19th century Savannah freedom fighter. Learn about his remarkable accomplishments and the enduring legacy of African American history and culture at Fort Pulaski National Monument and in the Savannah area. 

 

Enjoy a day filled with arts & craft, cannon demonstrations, special exhibits and displays, as well as history talks and storytelling. Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Fort Pulaski while also having fun and enjoying the beauty of your National Monument. Best of all it’s free to visit all day long.
