Bird Count

This group of volunteers works within park boundaries to conduct standardized bird surveys that contribute to regional and park breeding bird data. Volunteers will be trained on survey protocol but should possess strong bird identification skills prior to the survey or accompany an experienced birder during the survey. Duties include visiting survey sites and recording the identity of any seen or heard birds at the site. Bird surveys are conducted early in the morning between May and July.
