Homeschool Days 2025



"Our Gettysburg Gallery"

This year we will create a gallery of American Civil War-inspired art and expression to include Lego creations of historic buildings, landscape water color paintings, clay monument modeal, a quilting station, poetry circle, photography contest. . . .and even lessons on Civil War-Era Ballroom Dancing!

NOTE: Registration for the March 7 and March 14 Homeschool Day is Closed.

Note: Recommended for children ages 8-14. If you have children below age 5, please find alternative plans for them. Also, we can accept a maximum of 50 students per session. A waiting list will be maintained for reservation requests after that. Thank you!

Explore the Getysburg Cyclorama painting and the Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War in a quieter and calmer way during the morning hours. Special Hands' On History Carts and other gentle surprises fr the families who attend. A Relaxation Station will be available in the Ford Motor Company Fund Education Center.

*Life Skills Day:*
"Let's Visit A Museum"

Friday, February 21, 2025
10:00 a.m. to Noon

Life Skills Classrooms and Families are invited to the museum for special tours and special access, and even some opportunities to try their hand at the work of curators, exhibit designers and tour guides. Registration is required.

"Lincoln at Gettysburg:" Open House:
A Special Event for English Language Learners

Saturday, March 22, 2025
9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Walk in the footsteps of Abraham Lincoln and explore the home where he stayed and completed the Gettysburg Address. Treasure hunts and other activities to follow house tour, with plenty of Ranger, language interpreter, visual support throughout the morning.
