Auto Tour Stops #7 and #8

Although visitors will not be able to access Little Round Top during the 18 month closure, we have provided links to many video alternatives.

The first two videos are part of our Virtual Tour and both of these locations will have limited access (Stop #7) or no access (Stop #8) during the 18 month closure. Stop #7 is for Warfield Ridge and Stop #8 is for Little Round Top.

Longstreet’s assaults began here at 4 p.m. They were directed against Union troops occupying Devil’s Den, the Wheatfield, and Peach Orchard, and against Meade’s undefended left flank at the Round Tops.

Quick action by Brig. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren, Meade’s chief engineer, alerted Union officers to the Confederate threat and brought Federal reinforcements to defend this position.
