Conditions for Picnicking
Designated areas for picnicking include the South End Picnic Area, located along South Confederate Avenue, and designated tables at the Museum and Visitor Center.
Only camp stoves (propane, butane) may be utilized in the South End Picnic Area. No coal or charcoal is permitted.
The lighting or maintaining of fires is prohibited under any conditions, includes propane grills at the Visitor Center/Museum.
A path leads from the picnic area to restroom facilities.

All areas of Gettysburg National Military Park, Gettysburg National Cemetery, and Eisenhower National Historic Site are closed to the consumption of alcoholic beverages or the possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
Pack it in, pack it out. Inspect your campsite, food preparation areas, and rest areas for trash or spilled foods. Pack out all trash, leftover food, and litter.
Restroom facilities are available just down the gravel path.
