The Pine Springs area is the primary hub for most visits to the park. A visitor center, campground and trailhead provide access to adventures large and small in this Chihuahuan Desert mountain park.

Pine Springs Day Hikes

Pine Springs is the starting point for the Guadalupe Peak Trail and other beginning hikes into the high-country of the park.

Hike to "the Top of Texas"

The trail to the summit of Guadalupe Peak is a rewarding, and very strenuous, 8.5 mile round trip hike with a 3,000 foot elevation gain.

Opportunities for dogs are severely limited. We encourage visitors to think twice before bringing their dog to the park.
