Workforce Highlights

We may be bias, but our team is the best! From greeting visitors, repairing historic structures, maintaining the grounds, or giving interpretive programs, we have a wonderful workforce team! To make our park site run well we have a passionate team of people encompassing multiple departments from interpretation and fee collecting to cultural resource management and maintenance and everyone in between. We need every part of our team, to run efficiently and effectively!

We are highlighting our maintenance team more below! Our maintenance team includes carpenters, grounds keepers, maintenance mechanics, sawyers, and preservationists. With over 100 acres of land and dozens historic and modern structures between Fort McHenry and Hampton National Historic Site it takes a very particular set of skills and a great deal of dedication to be the stewards of these places. Wherever you travel throughout the National Park Service these folks behind the scenes ensure your parks are safe, beautiful, and in good repair.
