![]() Some of the trail segments are more accessible than others. Some parts of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail (NST) overlay existing rail-trails such as the Ahnapee, Sugar River, Kewaunee River, the Badger State and Mountain-Bay Trails. These rail-to-trail conversions tend to have relatively hard surfaces and few elevation changes. Other portions of the Ice Age NST follow existing multi-use, hard surface, trails such as the Mariner's Trail along Lake Michigan, or sidewalks through historic trail communities. Check with local land managers and partners for more information on the accessibility of various segments in the state. |
