Shifting Sands Movie Screening at the National Park

Celebrate the 57^th Anniversary of Indiana Dunes National Park with a viewing of the film, Shifting Sands. The movie tells the story of how local activists fought to save the Indiana Dunes and of the bigger issue of sustainability. How do we maintain our way of life without destroying the natural world on which we all depend? Meet at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center on Saturday, November 4 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Indiana Dunes National Park is one of more than 400 units of the National Park System ranging from Yellowstone to the Statue of Liberty. Located in Northwest Indiana, the park includes 15 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 15,000 acres of biodiverse beaches, woods, prairies, and marshes. Up to 3 million visitors come to the Indiana Dunes each year.
