About the Artist

Sharon Schafer was an Isle Royale Artist-in-Residence from June 13th to July 1st, 2000. She is an adventurous painter and photographer with a degree in wildlife management. Her work has brought her all the way to the Arctic and Antarctic. She finds inspiration in the endless details found in nature.

She founded Skydance Studio in 1998 to promote more appreciation and understanding of the natural world. Learn more about Sharon and see her work on her personal webpage.
