About the Artist

Kellan Heikkila was an Isle Royale Teen Artist from August 14th to August 22nd, 2018. About his art, he says "observing my surroundings and making sense of it by laying it down on a canvas or a piece of paper makes me feel more in tune with the world, and letting my imagination take over is at the same time exhilarating and relaxing. Art is a way for me to calm down, relive stress, and focus." He is from Chassell, Michigan and specializes in drawing.

His work "Misty Morning" was chosen for the 2020 Isle Royale Season Pass.
