You live at Sivertson Fishery, which is on one of over four hundred islands surrounding Isle Royale! Your family doesn't have a car, but you have plenty of boats to go around. These boats are not only handy for all the fishing your family is doing, but also for traveling to celebrations and gatherings on other nearby islands.
There were resorts and as many as 20 other fishing families living on this island with you in the early 1900s.
It’s easy to stay busy here since you spend most of your days fishing.
Other than fishing, you spend your time hunting rabbits, gathering plants, and maybe even bowling at the nearby Singer’s Resort.

Your house is on the tallest tree you could find with sturdy branches. This gives you a great view of the trees and water below.
Your home is filled with lots of branches, grass, moss, and even some feathers for warmth. This makes it extra comfy and warm since it can get a little breezy up this high.
Your home can get crowded at times since there’s only one room for you, your siblings, and your parents!
This room can also double as a bathroom at times, so you keep it clean by frequently adding new grass and moss.

Your family worked hard to chew down lots of trees and build a dam. The dam they built created a nice pond, which brings a lot of neighbors such as fish, frogs, turtles, and moose. This pond is also where your lodge is made.
It's dark and muddy inside your house, but there’s lots of plants to snack on when you get hungry.
There are two main rooms in the lodge, one for drying off and eating, and one for sleeping.
The sleeping area has extra wood and grass for warmth, which is nice in the winter.
Sometimes your parents will even let muskrats and otters stay over in the winter!
