John K. Ewing, Jr. was a resident of Pittsburgh before moving to Bellport, Long Island, New York. While living in Pittsburgh, he was involved in the coal industry. In addition to his membership in the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club, Ewing was also a member of the Duquesne Club and served as President of the Bellport National Bank. John and his wife Mary Mitchell Ewing had seven children. He is buried in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
