Travel the path of the Johnstown Flood with a park ranger on a van tour. This free, four-hour tour is Saturday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. and leaves from the Visitor Center. To make a required reservation due to limited space, please call 814-886-6171.
The tour goes around the site of the South Fork Dam and includes a fully-guided tour of the Club House. After leaving the park grounds, the tour then winds through the flood ravaged communities of South Fork, Mineral Point, East Conemaugh, Woodvale, and ultimately Johnstown. The narrative portion of the tour concludes at Grandview Cemetery. Participants will then be shuttled back to the Visitor Center.
