Walk with a Park Ranger through the remains of the South Fork Dam. Students will learn about the South Fork Dam, the day the dam broke, and its impact. This interpretive walk will last approximately 45 minutes and starts on top of the dam. Students will be able to see where the dam broke. The tour proceeds to the bottom of the dam, through the breach and back up out of the dam on the other side. Please note that the last portion of the walk contains a steep section. The walk is approximately 1/3 mile. Students are encouraged to wear proper shoes and bring water. |
