On Friday, November 24, 2017 Joshua Tree National Park received a report of a missing 18-year old male hiker. Joshua Tree Search and Rescue (JOSAR), and National Park Service personnel are involved in this preliminary search.
The hiker is described as having dark blond hair and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark gray tee shirt, tan cargo shorts, and carrying an orange backpack.
He was dropped off at the Boy Scout Trailhead near Indian Cove several days ago for a backpacking trip, and failed to show up at his rendezvous point yesterday.
Any information on this search should be directed to Dan Messaros 760-831-7633 or Dave Pyleman 714-747-5057.
