Kotzebue, Alaska: The National Park Service will hold the fall Subsistence Resource Commission meetings for Kobuk Valley National Park and Cape Krusenstern National Monument, October 7-10, 2024.

Cape Krusenstern Subsistence Resource Commission to Meet October 7-8.

The National Park Service’s Cape Krusenstern National Monument Subsistence Resource Commission will be meeting in Kotzebue on Monday and Tuesday, October 7-8. The meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will be held at the National Park Service’s Northwest Arctic Heritage Center, 171 Third Avenue. It will begin at 1:00PM on Monday October 7, and is scheduled to adjourn for the day at 5:00PM. The meeting will resume on Tuesday October 8, at 9:00AM and it will conclude at 12:00PM. Topics to be covered include reports from the nine-member commission on subsistence issues and concerns, updates from NPS staff, management issues, wildlife research and monitoring activities, and Federal Wildlife Regulations.
